Finalist project for the OICE 2024 Awards, “Urban Planning and Regeneration” category
The Bosco della Musica represents our most ambitious and significant project to date. This urban redevelopment project in Milan is designed to transform a previously degraded area into an authentic green lung within the urban fabric, housing the new Campus of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan.
The creation of the Bosco della Musica symbolizes the city’s commitment to combining nature and modernity, combining a deep respect for the environment with architectural innovation. This green space promotes environmental sustainability and becomes the centerpiece of a cultural hub dedicated to music.
The fusion of the art of music and modern Milanese architecture will create a unique environment where nature and human creativity come together in perfect harmony. In addition to its role as a cultural hub, the Forest will offer a variety of recreational facilities for residents and visitors. Pedestrian paths, bike paths, and outdoor performance spaces will be interconnected throughout the park, providing a dynamic and engaging experience for all visitors. The park will also include designated areas for community events, workshops, and educational programs, further enriching Milan’s cultural fabric. Bosco della Musica is designed with sustainability at its heart. Every aspect of the project aims to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible use of resources. This is not only a place where music will come to life, but also a space where the community can grow, learn, and connect with nature. For us, the Music Forest is not just an urban redevelopment project, but an opportunity to create a place that will inspire and enrich the lives of all who visit. It symbolizes Milan’s future, where sustainability, culture, and creativity give life to a vibrant and welcoming environment.
