We enthusiastically took on the challenge of designing and building the new school complex in Torri, in the municipality of Arcugnano. Our ambition was to create a building that would not only be functional but also a symbol of identity for the local community, conveying to young students the core values of culture, creativity and respect for the environment.
The new school complex, which houses both primary and secondary schools, was conceived as a place of growth and education that opens up to citizenship, becoming a true technological and cultural hub. During construction, we involved internationally renowned artists such as Bart Smeets, Jason Naylor and Dasic Fernandez, who created monumental murals, transforming the building into anopen-air work of art.
For the load-bearing structure, we chose wood for its excellent energy and sustainability qualities. The structure consists of X-Lam panels and glulam beams, materials that ensure solidity and low environmental impact. On the elevation, the volumetric composition of the elements is complemented by cladding in TECU® Gold, a copper and aluminum alloy with a golden-brown color. The special "tailor-made" folding of the panels reflects natural light on its faceted surface, creating an image that is always unique and fascinating.
