Seveso Munari

The new gymnasium in Seveso was a major project for us, a modern sports facility made of sustainable materials, mainly wood, and developed in full compliance with CONI design guidelines.
We designed this gym for the City of Seveso with the goal of creating a space that is as functional as it is environmentally friendly. The combination of materials used, along with strict adherence to sports regulations, makes this facility a valuable addition to Seveso's sports life. The gymnasium was approved by CONI, a recognition that testifies to the attention to detail and high quality of the project.
One of the distinctive elements of the building is the strong presence of indirect natural light, a condition that we considered particularly suitable for the enjoyment of the sports spaces. The large glazing makes the interior spaces visible from the outside, showing off the beauty of the wooden structure and creating a visual link between the interior and exterior.
The gymnasium extension features a zinc-titanium shell with high thermal performance and water tightness, a large glazing to the north, and a shaved coat finish to the south. These elements not only improve building performance, but also contribute to a comfortable and sustainable environment for all users.
With the new gymnasium in Seveso, we want to provide the community with a state-of-the-art sports facility that not only meets local sports needs, but also stands out for its commitment to sustainability and ecological design.
