Disclosure backstage: In this new episode, we delve into the relationship between architectural design and cultural mediation, exploring the role of the artist in contemporary design processes and how art and architecture can transform not only the aesthetics of a space, but also the way it is experienced.
Simply incorporating a work of art into a project is not enough: the real challenge lies in creating the conditions for something new to emerge from that encounter.
Together with Sonila Abdalli, Co-founder & CEO of Destil Creative Hub, and Michele Cerruti But, Director of the Department of Visual Arts at the Unidee Academy of the Pistoletto Foundation, we reflected on what it truly means to make space for art, weaving together experiences from different contexts: Sonila in Tirana, where she works closely with the Albanian art scene, and Michele in Biella, where, through the academy, he develops research and training programmes alongside an international community of artists, designers and researchers.
Disclosure is our format that brings together two voices from different worlds, to discover where their ideas might converge, influence one another or even clash. This episode was moderated by Benedetta Mea – Managing & Creative Director Albania and Partner at Settanta7.
