The Santa Maria della Pietà Integrated Plan project represents an ambitious and significant intervention on the ASL pavilions of the Lazio Region, with the aim of transforming this historic complex in the heart of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital into a health and wellness park. The focus of the project is the interior renovation and restoration of the facades of Pavilion V, an intervention that aims to strengthen the complex's role as a multipurpose center for social welfare, cultural and educational activities.
We adopted a design approach that ensures full accessibility and effective design of the interior spaces, while maintaining the utmost respect for the typological characteristics of the original layout. This balance between innovation and respect for the history of the place has been at the heart of our work, allowing us to refunctionalize the pavilions so that they can accommodate new activities without losing their historical value.
The project is part of a broader context of enhancing the historical and architectural heritage, with the aim of promoting social integration and innovation in public services. Reclaiming these spaces means not only preserving an important piece of Roman history, but also offering the community a functional and welcoming place that can meet modern needs.
In this redevelopment process, we are committed to creating environments that are not only functionally efficient, but also promote the well-being and health of their users. This project is not simply a renovation, but a true rebirth for the former Santa Maria della Pietà Hospital, which will see its spaces transformed into a vital center for the community, where past and future meet to create a new landmark in the city of Rome.
